I found this article and title confusing but they weren't really addressing Earth Hour.

VANCOUVER - The city of Vancouver has won a victory in its bid to become the greenest city in the world after being crowned the Global Earth Hour Capital 2013 by the World Wildlife Fund.

"The city points to its goals set out in Vancouver’s Greenest City 2020 Action Plan, which include making all new buildings carbon neutral; increasing the number of green jobs in Vancouver; and seeing residents make over 50 per cent of trips by foot, bicycle or transit."

Now here's my question that I want to ask.

We won this distinction yet look at the lights and electricity  use in this incredibly beautiful but actually disturbing (in many ways) below.

WATCH FULL SCREEN! :D

I hope people will stop and think carefully about this.

I mean I am glad we won, I think it's important when we are fighting against the Pipeline and big oil companies to save our coast...so we've got to prove we are green and going greener, but seriously we need to use a lot more solar  and wind power.

Earth Hour is March 23 this year!! Here's our's from a few years back!

The official 2013 video features the track "Without You" by David Guetta and Usher, providing an upbeat soundtrack to match the celebration of this year's event across the world. Earth Hour's mission is to unite people to protect the planet, so go beyond the hour and upload your I Will If You Will challenge to www.YouTube.com/EarthHour. Dare the World to Save the Planet.
