Rick Mercer-Is Harper a Hologram

You have to read this article in MCLEANS.CA. It's really good, he doesn't mention Elizabeth May at all but I love what he does say.

He makes the point that the media pays $50,000 to sit on the candidates plane and fly on the campaign trail with him. Yikes! Wow! Life is so distorted.

He talks about how they used campaign by train. He concludes that eventually candidates will just stream video and use Social Media.

That makes a lot of sense. Think of all the money that would be saved. Think of the opportunities of actually having your questions answered. It's coming, slowly.

Be sure the rest of his article, because of course it's hilarious and right on.

Is Harper a Hologram?

Quoting the MACLEANS article "Is Stephen Harper a Hologram?"
"Very soon a national leader is going to make a quantum leap and launch a national campaign by staying home. He or she will enter a bunker in Ottawa and from there they will Skype streaming video into 10 curling rinks in 10 provinces in one night. They will hold a dozen town halls in a single afternoon. They will take or refuse questions from all over Canada from all sorts of people. By staying home they will reach more Canadians."
